2011-2012 Season!
Celebrating 10 Years as the North State Symphony
It has been 10 years since the Chico and Redding Symphonies united under the North State Symphony name. With encouragement and enthusiasm from across the region, and energized by passion for the music, we have grown in every way. Kyle Wiley Pickett's musical sophistication, charisma, and savvy leadership have brought the NSS to new levels of musical performance.
In 2011-2012, enjoy the accomplishment!

Symphony Concert 3: Treasures Beloved and Unknown
Saturday Feb. 18 – Chico 7:30
Sunday Feb. 19 – Redding 2:00
Subtle beauty meets brash exuberance in this concert that brings together an audience favorite, Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony, with two rarities. Chabrier’s Spanish-inflected Habanera introduces an intriguing showpiece for the violin’s more modest sister, the viola. You’ll enjoy hearing the music of Rebecca Clarke, one of America’s little-known treasures.
