The North State Symphony is a professional orchestra providing symphonic music and educational opportunities to Northern California communities

Vision

The Board and staff concur with the vision for the North State Symphony that includes the following elements:

• Commitment to the University and its constituents
• Provide excellent education and training opportunities for talented music students
• Create and maintain an environment that is conducive to learning and that nurtures both individual and group performance
• Foster collaborative relationships between the north state communities of Chico and Redding and other communities in Northern California
• Provide performance opportunities for qualified musicians from throughout the north state region
• Promote community volunteer involvement
• Offer donor opportunities from local businesses and citizens to support North State Symphony programs
• Provide the communities of the region with the highest quality symphonic music within budget constraints
• Represent the communities with professionalism, integrity and service-oriented principles
