Accessibility at Cascade Theatre, Redding:

  • Stairs and Accessible Seats:
All seats, restrooms, box oƯice and concessions on the main Orchestra Level are accessible entirely without any stairs. Because the Cascade Theatre is an historic building with no elevator, all seats, restrooms, and concessions on the Balcony or Loge Levels can only be reached via a full flight of stairs. “Accessible Only By Stairs” is clearly indicated on each such seat during the online purchase process. Wheelchair, Transfer Seats and their Companion Seats are clearly indicated during the sales process. These seats are reserved only for those needing those seats’ accessibility features until 30-minutes prior to show time or when all other seats are sold out. There are no seats, only spaces, in marked wheelchair locations. Guests purchasing those seats who do not need the accessibility features do so in violation of the theater’s policy and the law. Purchases found to be suspect will be canceled without refund.
  • Service Animals:
Trained service dogs (as defined by Title II & Title III of the ADA) are welcomed on leash or harness. Please let staƯ know upon arrival with your service dog. Because some shows use the aisle for actor or dancer entrances and to allow guests and staƯ safe egress, the aisles must be kept clear at all times and your service dog at your seat. Guests with service dogs that are not well-behaved or endanger others will be asked to leave. For the safety and comfort of our guests and staff, pets and therapy animals are not permitted.
  • Wheelchairs, Walkers, and Mobility Devices:

There are no seats, only spaces, in marked wheelchair locations. Guests purchasing those seats who do not need
the accessibility features do so in violation of the theater’s policy and the law. Purchases found to be suspect will be canceled without refund. Due to the theater’s limited space, walkers and other mobility devices will need to be stored when not in use. Please ask an usher for assistance. For your safety and that of other guests, Segways and other fast- moving or large motorized devices cannot be accommodated due to the theater’s limited space and congested aisles and lobbies.
  • Hearing Assistance and Earplugs:
The Cascade Theatre is equipped with a hearing assistance system. Listening devices may be checked out by leaving your ID with the box office or House Manager. The theater also has Hearing Induction Loop technology. Guests with compatible hearing aids should set them to the “T” or “Telecoil” setting to use this hearing assistance without need of checking out a device. Conversely, should the concert or event prove too loud to be comfortable, complimentary earplugs are available from any usher.
  • Interpreted Performances:
A number of Cascade Theatre performances are sign-language interpreted. Seats in the sign-interpreted section are clearly indicated during the sales process.
