Community & Education

Year-round Classroom & Community Programs

“My passion for classical music started in childhood after a chance exposure to orchestral music. Young people need more ways to engage with and enjoy the symphony, and build the foundation for a lifetime of appreciation.”

— Scott Seaton, North State Symphony Music Director

Youth & Community Events

The North State Symphony’s community engagement programs bring the joy of classical music to local classrooms, retirement communities, and other locations throughout the community such as farmer’s markets, street fairs, libraries, museums, planetariums and more.  We encourage those of all ages to listen, play, and engage with us as we explore the fascinating world of classical music together.

Side by Side

Through our Side-by-Side concerts, we provide young musicians with a unique opportunity to perform alongside the North State Symphony.

On Location

At North State Symphony, we believe that music has the power to inspire, educate, and connect people of all ages.
