The North State Symphony is now accepting applications for professional and student musicians!

Application deadline is Friday, August 23.

 

AUDITION DETAILS:

Dates:  Friday, August 30 (professionals only) and Saturday, August 31(both professionals and students)

Location: California State University Chico | Performing Arts Building (PAC 135/Wismer theatre)

We will be auditioning for the following instruments:

SECTION/SUBSTITUTE CELLO

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL BASS

PRINCIPAL FLUTE

SUBSTITUTE HORN

APPLICATION PROCESS AND INFORMATION:

ALL applicants (professional and student):

Step 1: Complete this SURVEY.

Step 2: RESIDENTS OF CALIFORNIA ONLY: Review the JOB DESCRIPTION. Follow “How to apply” instructions in the Job description to submit required materials to Chico State Enterprises (CSE).** If you are already employed by CSE, skip this step.

Student musicians (high school and college) must be 18+ years of age. Auditions for students will be held for all wind, brass, string, and percussion instruments on August 31. Please contact Treble Cierpke, Personnel Coordinator

2024-25 SYMPHONY INFORMATION

There are 5 concert sets during the 24/25 symphony season.

The symphony rehearses twice on the Saturday prior to each set of Classical concerts, with 2 additional rehearsals the weekend of each concert set. Performances are held in Chico, Redding, Red Bluff, and Oroville, CA. (Smaller concerts have a more abbreviated
rehearsal schedule and require attendance during the week.) A typical concert set consists of 6 services.

Section pay range:  $62-$100/service

Principal pay range: $92-$130/service
