Dashiell John Waterbury

Dashiell John Waterbury has two decades of professional experience as a classical vocalist. He has worked throughout the United States and internationally, and has made appearances in opera, musical theater, and Shakespeare. A tenor with a warm spinto tone and thrilling expressive power, Dashiell's operatic roles include the Rake in The Rake’s Progress, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Beppe in i Pagliacci, and several roles in the Mozart canon, including Tamino in Die Zauberflöte. He has extensive experience in the choral and early music arenas, as well, and has performed in concert for all of the living former Presidents.

In addition to his work as a performer, Dashiell has a thriving career as an opera director and educator. His productions have been seen all over the country. He is currently serving as the Head of Opera at Stetson University in Orlando, Florida, where he is on the voice faculty. He is thrilled to be performing with the North State Symphony once more.
